The Himalaya Range of clothing has been brought about from the lack of purpose made clothing that's suitable for all year-round use. Even in the summer there are evenings that blow cold, the Himalaya jacket would not be out of place on such a night. The weight of both pieces is crucial, this is not the sort of clothing that weighs you down to such a point that it's a chore to wear. The jacket in a large weighs in at around an incredible 1lb 6oz with the bib & brace just 4-5oz more. You really do not feel that you have them on. The outer Softshell material is not only lightweight but also incredibly wind resistant. We have sourced the outer rip-stop Softshell and the micro-fibre hollowfill filling from the mountaineering world, where weight and warmth are critical. The high loft filling retracts and retains body heat keeping you warm but not sweaty. We have purposely made the fit of the garments loose so as during the coldest of conditions a fleece can be worn underneath but also when it's warmer the loose fit will stop you from over-heating.
